From our residents.....

No one can describe the Novel Place lifestyle better than our very own community members.

Not sure if Independent Living is right for you? See what our residents have to say!

"Novel Place is an independent senior living community committed to the happiness and well-being of residents. It is a very warm, loving, and caring community, exactly what we want in a senior living environment. The staff is our #1 asset, beginning with the administrators right down to the line to culinary,  maintenance, housekeeping, and chauffeur. A lot of these people genuinely care for us in the most loving and caring way. It's clean, new, and provides many activities, events, and tours for us. The social aspect is excellent. Culinary provides chef-prepared meals! What more could we ask for!"

"I  moved into Novel Place in March of 2021. It was one of the best decisions I have made. I love my Apartment- it is the perfect size for one person. The staff  is very helpful, there is a variety of activities and I have made many new friends."

"Residents have become a second family. We are friendly and concerned about each other. If you are not seen for a period of time, you can be sure one of us will be checking on you! As one of the first residents, I am thrilled to be here. I could not be happier. It is the best decision I have made in many years. I am available anytime to answer questions!"

"I wanted to share that my dad has moved several times over the years, but this is the best move he's made! I can't say enough good things about all the staff. Please use me as a reference if a family is ever in doubt about moving to Novel Place."

- Christine, daughter of Jack in Overland Park -

"Friendly and helpful staff!"

- Anita, daughter of Violet in Overland Park -

"I definitely find the staff friendly, helpful and caring.  The dining area is attractive and the food is very good and nicely presented.  It is always good to see familiar faces at mealtime and visiting a bit. I have been in several community areas for movies, chair yoga, games, etc.  It is good to have those available for functions and fellowship. I have not used the transportation service, but appreciate that it is available.
The lifestyle falls into a rhythm, with some planned activities, pleasant places to read or visit outside of our own apartment.
Everything is a bit on the cautious side because of Covid-19 but that will improve in time.  We need to be careful!

I feel Novel Place is a good value, with many amenities.  This is surely a new lifestyle for me, and I’m finding this a “happy place” and I’m feeling more “at home” each day!"

- Pat in Overland Park -

"This is a quiet, pleasant neighborhood (my last place was noisy-motorcycles, sirens,- kept me on edge always.) Novel Place has kind, effective managers and good food. The chef makes every effort to please residents with menus... Maintenance is good and helpful."

- Jan and Bill in Overland Park -

"Fireside chats are my favorite here at NP. I am saving money AND receiving so much more! Everyone's enthusiasm is contagious!"
